Since 1985 Columbia Shipmanagement has been providing management services to some of the most renowned passenger vessels around the world. In order to enhance our services, Columbia Cruise Services (CCS) has been established specialising in the full management of cruise and expedition passenger vessels. Operating out of Hamburg and Limassol, CCS provides a full range of services tailored to the precise needs of our partners:
Ship and Shore personnel form a highly skilled team providing full technical management. The team jointly monitors engine performance and energy efficiency. Detailed budgeting and reporting procedures allow comprehensive cost analysis, including extras such as carbon footprint analysis per passenger.
Our Operations Department ensures competitiveness, efficiency and cost-effective operations – from voyage optimisation to itinerary planning and supervision of all port-related activities.
Our worldwide network of crewing offices and agencies enables us to handpick cruise and hotel staff to best meet client requirements. A wide range of services that cover (amongst others):
- Recruiting and training competent Seafarers;
- Reviewing and monitoring the safe manning of all vessels;
- Preparing and controlling crewing budgets
- Verify the authenticity and adequacy of certificates
- Travel arrangements
Our project management, dedicated to an efficient and economic preparation of a vessel within the period agreed covers the complete range:
- Newbuilding Supervision
- Dry & Wet-Dockings;
- Upgradings & Refurbishments;
- Lay-Ups.
The company formed in 2017 between Columbia Yacht Management and Swiss Ocean focuses on providing exclusive boutique yacht management at every stage: from the initial sketches of the yacht design and building to the recruitment and management of technical, crew, operations and commercial aspects. The Company offers comprehensive management for luxury travel, focusing on the development, management and support of more than 10 renowned superyachts and aircraft maintenance through our partner ACC Columbia Jet Services.
The CCS Hotel Operations team is looking back on decades of accumulated land-based and on-board experiences in diverse positions (such as General Manager, F&B Manager, Executive Chef, etc.) throughout the hotel and hospitality sector, across the international (cruise) industry.
